Laguna Nichupté
Cancún, 77500
Description: Cancún's tourist zone rests on a sandbar that stretches around the Nichupté Lagoon, which is almost 7.5 miles long and just over 3 miles wide. Many hotels and restaurants face toward the lagoon's white sand beaches and emerald waters. The lagoon is the perfect area for water sports such as windsurfing and jet skiing. The waters are also perfect for scuba diving since the fairly shallow waters let in a lot of sunlight. On some of the lagoon's beaches, visitors can also find some good fishing.

Playa Caracol
Km 6, near Punta Cancún, Cancún, 77500
Description: ZONA HOTELERA. Playa Caracol is one of Cancún's most popular beaches for several reasons. It is located in the heart of the Hotel Zone, which makes it close to many of Cancún's restaurants and puts it in the heart of the shopping district. Families also flock to this beach because of its relatively flat seabed and because the currents here are less strong than at other beaches.
